The Trend Tribe Hits Vegas, Pt 2

vegas

The fun continued on Saturday of our Trend Tribe Influencer Weekend in Las Vegas! If you read my previous post, The Trend Tribe Hits Vegas Part 1 you got the scoop on the delicious cuisine, tasty cocktails and girly fun we had the Friday night. Now, moving on to Saturday!

In addition to hitting up some of the finest restaurants on the strip, indulging in beauty make-overs and personal shopping we did mix in some structure with a group of us attending the Bloggy Bootcamp conference on Saturday. Stay tuned for more details about the conference in another post. OK let’s fast forward to Saturday evening.

How many people have tried tongue as a dish? Did you like it? I consider myself a pretty adventurous eater but I hadn’t tried this unusual delicacy until we dined at the fabulous Comme Ca at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas. Guess what? I actually really liked it. These are the types of delectable dishes you’ll experience at Comme Ca, a French brassiere with a unique, chic twist. Los Angeles Chef David Myers has created some delicious creations like Smoked Tongue, Charred Calamari presented in a way I’ve never seen, Roasted Bone Marrow, Salmon Tartar and Fois Gras. My three favorites had to be the calamari, salmon tartar and yes the smoked tongue, seriously. Not only does Comme Ca have amazing food but they feature a classy cocktail menu with creations like the Sunflower, Ginger Joy and White Mint. I went with the refershing White Mint; vodka, sugar, fresh mint and lemon, champagne. In addition to the wonderful food and cocktails Comme Ca boasts some of the best views of the Vegas strip. Definitely one to check out while in Vegas! Don’t miss our lovely Stefanie’s review of Comme Ca on The Trend Tribe.

Next we changed venues and headed to the fun AND sophisticated Michael Mina’s Nobhill Tavern at the MGM Grand. After our quite fancy foodie experience at Comme Ca it was fun to switch gears to some fun tavern fare with a gourmet twist. When you think of tavern or pub fare you think of things like buffalo wings, french fries and if you’re in England or Australia, good old bangers and mash. Nobhill Tavern serves all of these but takes it to another level which I have to say I absolutely loved! Duck Fat Fries with an aioli sauce to die for, crispy chicken wings in a Korean BBQ sauce, beer-battered shrimp and an enormous plate of oysters were my favorites. Not only did they serve delicious cocktails but they also have PBR on the menu! No, I’m not joking. So you can sip on your fancy pants cocktail and take a swig of PBR at the same time! Needless to say this was one of the biggest hits of the night. My fellow Trendsetter Wendy shares all the details of our Nobhill Tavern happy hour on The Trend Tribe.

With full tummies and happy faces we moved on from eating to rocking out at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in full swing at Rouge also at MGM Grand. Have you ever dreamed about taking the stage with the likes of Alice Cooper or Sammy Hagar? Well this could be your chance! Rock and Roll Fantasy camp is the opporunity for you to jam, rehearse, write, record and perform with some big rock legends. While we didn’t actually attend the full camp we got to see some brave souls up on stage jamming away with Lita Ford. Our fabulous Kadi of The Trend Tribe also got to spend Saturday afternoon checking out the camp and even got behind the drums!

After our fill of rock and roll a few of we moved onto the View Bar back at the Aria. We sipped on delicious martinis from Manny, the great bartender and enjoyed some laughs. Making the wise decision to take our little party up to the room we made our way back up to the gorgeous penthouse for our own private late night party complete with a massive room service order and comfy Aria slippers to replace our heels. I don’t think I need to go into too much detail but instead I’ll share one image that sums a wonderfully fun girls night out!

The Trend Tribe Influencer weekend was filled with many fabulous places, yummy food and fun activities for sure. Above all of this though was the great time I had with these ladies. We had an absolute ball together and I enjoyed meeting them in person, finally. Living in Singapore I’m more removed from things going on in the States so this was extra special to me. Being there with such an amazing group of women and to have so much fun together only strengthened how fortunate I feel to be part of this fantastic group, The Trend Tribe. A huge thank you to Nicole and Stefanie for your tremendous work organizing this beyond amazing weekend!
