Happy National Day Singapore!

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Today is Singapore’s National Day holiday which is the commemoration of Singapore’s independence from Malaysia in 1965. Everybody has the day off work to celebrate and enjoy it how they please. The main events beginning in the evening are the National Day Parade and the spectacular fireworks show over Marina Bay Sands to end the festivities.

While we didn’t attend the National Day Parade we headed to the Singapore Cricket Club for some dinner and drinks at the rooftop bar. We were able to catch some of the beautiful fireworks and watch the people gathered in the field below celebrating the festivities.
