E Food and Wine, Dempsey Hill

Ozdane and I tried a new spot for lunch yesterday while we were enjoying our Sunday out and about in Singers, E Food and Wine. We were impressed so of course I had to capture the highlights while they are fresh in my mind.

E Food and Wine is located in a more serene area of Singapore¬†called Dempsey Hill. There are a number of restaurants in this area but E is nestled in a back corner so it’s a peaceful location. John Erdos is an expat who arrived in Singapore over 20 years ago. He opened a home store last year, John Erdos Home followed by John Erdos Art gallery and the restaurant, E Food and wine. They are clustered together in the same complex. E ¬†is somewhere we’ve seen every time we have been to the home store or art gallery but we never actually tried until yesterday and boy were we glad we did!

The restaurant has both indoor, air-conditioned seating as well as outside tables. They also have a bar area with high top tables in a sort of inside-outside atmosphere. The interior design is very simple and clean yet artistic with a variety of artwork on the walls.

They have a great menu that is full of selections for beverages, breakfast, lunch and dinner, dessert. They have a kids menu and starters and sides to choose from as well. On weekends and public they serve breakfast until 3pm, bonus! Ozdane and I both ordered the sliders from the Starters menu but this was definitely enough for a meal. I’ve become a fan of sliders for those times when you don’t think you can quite power down a big burger. You get 3 mini burgers instead and fries with it also. I think it’s the perfect amount of food for lunch and you don’t feel like you ate a brick afterwards that you sometimes feel after a big, whopping, juicy burger.

Sliders and fries, yum!

You think Ozdane liked his sliders?!

So if you’re in Singers and venture to the Dempsey Hill area definitely try E Food and Wine. If you’re up for it check out the home store and art gallery too!
