Pampering at Milk Day Spa, Sydney
During my time in Oz I lived in a great area in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney called Paddington. I had an apartment I loved, situated walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and more. However I must say my favorite thing about it was the fact there was a day spa in the building right on the ground floor. What more could this spa junkie ask for?
Milk Day Spa is a lovely, boutique spa nestled amongst terraces and flats in adorable Paddington. Because it isn’t located in a commercial area, it catches your eye as you stroll down Glenmore Road. The owners of the spa are lovely people and really go out of their way to make every client feel very welcome. You are always greeted with a warm smile and friendly conversation. They take the time to get to know their regular clients. I have been going to Milk for the past 4 years and now feel like I am seeing friends when I walk in the door. It is another one of those places here that really makes Sydney feel like home.
In my mind no trip to Sydney is complete without a visit to Milk. I love I am still considered a “regular.” Yesterday I had my standard treatments I so enjoy. This includes a customized facial and LED light therapy treatment. Sometimes I will add in an eye treatment that is great for those pesky fine lines around my eyes I now see in the mirror on a daily basis. Oh the joy of getting older!
My facial was wonderful and the hydrating touch my skin so desperately needed with the cold snap here in Sydney, plane travel and hotel room air. While enjoying my face mask I was treated to a blissful hand and foot massage.
LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that helps reduce pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and improves overall skin tone. The main reason I started doing the light treatment was to help diminish pigmentation I have on my cheekbones. This is something that has developed over time and gotten progressively worse over the past 4 years. I have years of sun-baking to thank for that. Why must we be so silly in our youth?
I have seen great results from the LED light treatments not only for my pigmentation but also with my overall skin tone, fine lines and brightness of my skin. I love the fact it isn’t invasive like other options and you can see similar results if you do a series of light treatments.
Every experience at Milk Day Spa is relaxing. It isn’t just the treatments though; it is how you are treated when you’re there. I also love the fact it isn’t a big spa and doesn’t have that feel to it. They aren’t pushing products on you or frantically trying to schedule you in for your next appointment. They genuinely care about the personal experience you have while there and it really shows.
Milk Day Spa is another gem to keep in mind if you find yourself visiting Sydney and in need of some pampering…and who doesn’t need some pampering now and then?
